Don’t get me wrong, you won’t be automatically turned down if you do not have a perfect grade point average, but if your situation is reversed, and you do have a very good grade point average, then you may have the upper hand when you are applying to be a medical student. Remember that there is a lot of competition out there with people just yearning to be medical students, so you want to make sure that you push yourself to the top of the pack.

2. In order to apply to be a medical student, it is imperative that you write a personal statement. Prospective medical students have to submit a personal statement because medical schools want to accept the best of the best. They want to make sure that their medical students are at the very top of their game. So when writing your personal statement to become a medical student, make sure that it really flatters you and shows your greatest qualities. They want to see that their medical students are hard-working, responsible, smart, and have an extreme desire to enter their medical school. As a medical student, there is a lot that is expected of you, so they do not want to accept anyone that can not rise to the occasion, and can not perform. So show them that you are not going to be one of those medical students that does not do what is required of them. Let them know that you take being a medical student very serious and want to excel in the program.
